Polymerizable Surfactants

NOIGEN� and HITENOL� are newly developed polymerizable surfactants. Together, the non-ionic NOIGEN series and the anionic HITENOL series have overcome major difficulties encountered with conventional surfactants. Typical solvent based polymer emulsions have experienced severe environmental problems, while water based polymer emulsions usually exhibit very poor water resistance. These two product lines exhibit an exceptionally high degree of incorporation while retaining all desirable emulsification properties.

CMC Products

The CELLOGEN� line of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose products has many unique features. An especially important one is the "lot to lot" uniformity which results from the very tight viscosity and degree of substitution specs on each grade. CELLOGEN products are widely used in textiles, food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, animal feed, paper, ceramics, and building materials, functioning variously as a binder, dispersant, viscosifier and film-forming agent.

Sucrose Esters

DK ESTER� sucrose fatty acid ester products are highly purified, non-ionic surfactants with a wide range of HLB properties, from water soluble to oil soluble. Supplied in powder form, the products are non-toxic, tasteless and odorless. Grades F-50 and above are approved by the FDA as emulsifiers, stabilizers and in some cases texturizers in such applications as baked goods, chewing gum, confections, frostings, frozen dairy desserts and whipped milk products.
