Mon Pac� - - - TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Mon Pac is a high quality / high performance pac material, (PolyAnionic Cellulose). The primary functions are reducing fluid loss and providing viscosity in water base drilling fluids.

Mon Pac was designed to provide maximum performance with minimal dosage. The "Degree of Substitution" of the cellulose anhydroglucose units is a major factor in the overall ability to control filtrates in drilling fluids which contain salts and hardness.

This graph shows the performance effects of varying the degree of substitution. Each sample was evaluated in Montello's "KCL / Sea Salt Performance Test" Test concentration 0.75 pounds per barrel.

Every production lot of Mon Pac must meet stringent quality control and performance specifications. Mon Pac at 0.75 pounds per barrel must provide a fluid loss of less than 16.0 cc in the Montello KCL Sea Salt Performance Test.
